Frequently asked questions
Does registration protect a legal deadline?
No. Registering does not file a tribunal claim, notify Acas or suspend a deadline. Seek advice promptly if you may wish to bring a claim; do not wait for our investigation.
Will Mercor know that I have registered?
Registering or submitting information does not notify Mercor or give it access to your account or submission.
We will not contact Mercor about you or share your identity or information with Mercor without your express consent, unless required by law.
Does registering mean I have joined a lawsuit?
No. Creating an account, submitting information and accepting the website Terms do not authorise legal proceedings.
If proceedings are proposed, we may share your contact details with our legal partner so they can explain your options. Speaking with them does not oblige you to join.
We will not start legal proceedings in your name or include you in a claim without your separate, express consent. You can decide not to take part. We will explain any proposed action and costs before asking you to decide.
Why does registering help?
Registering helps us see how many people may be affected and plan any proceedings. If people later choose to act together, they may be able to share costs and negotiate from a stronger position. We cannot promise any outcome.
Your information helps us understand how Mercor work was arranged and paid, even if you never take part in legal proceedings.
Can I help without taking part in a lawsuit?
Yes. Your information helps us understand how Mercor work was arranged and paid, even if you never take part in legal proceedings.
Your account of working hours, pay and project requirements helps us compare experiences and identify issues that need further investigation. You do not have to commit to legal action to contribute.
Can I register if I still work on Mercor projects?
Yes. You can register while working on a project, waiting for another project or after leaving Mercor. You can share your experience privately and decide later whether you wish to take further action.
Who can see my information?
Your information is not public. You can access your records, and authorised staff can review them. If proceedings are proposed, our legal partner may receive your contact details to explain your options. Service providers and professional advisers may handle information where needed, as explained in the Privacy Notice. Mercor cannot see your account or submission.
Which email address should I use?
Use an email address you control and can access privately. It does not need to be the address you used for Mercor. We ask for your Mercor account email separately in the form. Keep your sign-in links private.
Do I need to know whether I was legally a worker?
No. Describe what happened in practice. We will review your working arrangements when assessing whether a potential claim may exist.
Can I include more than one Mercor project?
Yes. Add each project separately, including any differences in dates, rates and working arrangements.
Do I need documents before I start?
No. Documents are optional. You can submit your answers first and add relevant records later.
Can I save the form and return later?
Yes. Select “Save and continue” or “Save and leave” on each form page. Your answers are saved when you select one of these buttons. Sign in again to continue.
What if my sign-in link does not arrive or has expired?
Check the address you entered and your junk folder. Each link expires after 15 minutes and works once. Requesting another does not cancel an earlier link. You can request another from the sign-in page.
Does signing up guarantee a claim or payment?
No. We will need to review your circumstances. Registration does not guarantee that you have a claim, that we will represent you or that you will receive a payment.
Is Mercor Claim operated by Mercor?
No. Mercor Claim is operated by GAMSOL and is not affiliated with Mercor.
